Avionics Engineer

System integration design for avionic equipment in aircraft including preparation of schematics and wiring harness drawings. Produce wiring schematics for integration of communication and navigation systems. Produce wiring harness / assembly drawings and routing drawings. Check wiring schematics, harness drawings, and wiring assembly drawings prepared by other designers. Prepare ground test plans and flight test plans for bonding, function and EMI evaluation for newly integrated systems. Participate in ground and flight test for bonding, function and EMI. Prepare ground and flight test reports.

Assist in the preparation of certification documents including Compliance Programs. Ensure compliance with Transport Canada specifications and create corresponding statements of compliance. Assist Program Management and Sales in proposing avionic configurations for new aircraft to be customized. Prepare estimates of avionic design work for the purpose of aircraft customization quotes.

B.Sc. Electrical Engineering with Transport Canada delegation for electrical systems (or eligibility) an asset.
